You would think that when someone says to me "write a Kunzite/Mamoru fic," that would be a really easy thing to do.  Considering that's like, what I seem to be known for now.  But no, my brain kind of went "oh noes, all of our ideas will now crash and burn!"  But somehow, after the THIRD attempt, I have triumphed over fic!

I actually got the idea to do this while working on Resonating Light, and as they both allude to the same events, you might say that this is in the same canon as Resonating Light.  It is like a Resonating Light side-story, just for veve_w!  Obviously, this kind of jumps right into the middle of the action, so a lot of things are hinted at more than they're explained, but I hope it's easy enough to figure out most of it.  This was actually kind of refreshing to write, as it's very much a step out of how I usually write these characters, and also because I rarely write Silver Millennium fics.  I think I may continue this fic a couple more chapters, but I'm not writing about the events beforehand, as those are best left to the imagination.

As if I didn't have enough fics going at once, I had to go and start another one!  This is the result of my frustration that there aren't any good PGSM fics out there, or at least none that I can find.  I said that I'd never get into the PGSM Shitennou enough to want to write about them, but that was before Zoisite went and made me get attached to him.  Damn those white-haired men.

Title: Kaze no Shijin
Challenge: Official EAInc. Drabble Challenge
Summary: Based on the Seramyu musicals Starlights Ryuusei Densetsu (primarily) and Kakyuu Ouhi Kourin (mostly to fill in the blanks where I didn't know a Ryuusei plot point).  Mamoru/Saito Kun interaction (not slash... well, maybe slashy overtones).  This thing is actually two drabbles in one, as I got the idea for the second as I wrote the first, and then decided to just write them together.  They're really only tied together by the fact that they feature the same characters in the same show.  Part one takes place during Act 1 of Ryuusei, before Mamoru has his starseed taken.  Part two takes place in Act 2, just after he collapses but before he appears as the Dark Kingdom no Prince.  Note that I have no subtitled version of Ryuusei, and my Japanese is crap, so I could have interpreted the plot completely wrong.  Also, Saito Kun is so totally unlike how I normally picture Kunzite, that twisting that guy into someone I could actually write took some manipulation on my part.
