So I guess I won't be going to Ottawa after all. We were at a point where everybody else whose ticket wasn't paid for dropped out, so the situation would have involved another member helping cover the cost of my ticket and going back to the group later to ask for help fundraising money to pay for it. I told them that I wasn't comfortable being the only one asking everyone else to pay for me to go. They apologized several times for being so disorganized this year, and asked if I'd be around to go next year. Uh, this time next year I might possibly be in some high school doing my practicum.

Bah, so I have a long weekend coming up and nothing to do for like five days. Maybe I'll go to Vancouver anyway, but I don't know if my sister and Dan get a long weekend as well.

I think I deserve pizza for lunch.

According to CBC radio this morning, linguists have found that the language of lolcats is actually developing a legitimate grammar of its own, and if it continues to develop at the rate at which it is going, it will soon become its own language. At the moment, it resembles a pidgin language (although I'm not sure that you could call it a real pidgin since that requires two mother languages). But you can legitimately look at macro and say "that is written incorrectly" as compared to standard cat macro language.

I wonder if the internet will ever develop dialects. Can you have a distinct 4chan accent?
